Big Brothers and Big Sisters desiring to help with Youth Recreational Programs will be assigned a team
No more than two Big Brothers or Big Sisters will be assigned to any one team
Assignments will be filled at the younger leagues first
Big Brothers and Big Sisters are expected to be present and help with coaching and games for the WWPSA Rec League
Big Brothers and Big Sisters in the Inter-Town Rec League are expected to be present and help with practices and home games
Attendance at away games is optional
Team practice is held during the week - time and location vary by team
Technical Development Academy (TDA)
Practices take place at Duck Pond Park facility
Pre-TDA practice sessions are Tuesday & Thursday (5:15 - 6:15 p.m.)
TDA practice sessions are Tuesday & Thursday (6:15 - 7:15 p.m.)
TDA Plus practice sessions are Tuesday & Thursday (7:15 - 8:15 p.m.)
Shift assignments for the TDA practice sessions procedure
Shifts are offered and claimed using the Deputy App.
The email used is the one listed in the League Athletics registration for the Big Brother or Big Sister.
Open slots for each session (Slots are filled on a first-come basis)
At the start of the shift, Big Brothers and Big Sisters show up at the field at the times they were assigned and sign-in using the Deputy App.
At the end of the shift, Big Brothers and Big Sisters sign-out using the Deputy App.
Notes:
Currently each Big Brother or Big Sister can sign-up to help for each session. This policy may be revisited if necessary so that more Big Brothers and Big Sisters can participate.
If a Big Brother or Big Sister is unable to help after several attempts to sign-up, please notify Brent Nielsen (brent.nielsen@wwpsa.org) to make alternate arrangements.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters Scheduling (see below for Team Assignments)
Shifts in the Deputy App will be assigned for TDA Practices. Use the App to check-in and check-out from the field to record your time.
For Big Brother and Big Sisters assigned to the Recreational leagues, shifts will be assigned in the Deputy App. Use the App to check-in and check-out from the field to record your time.
Shifts may not be listed for Big Brothers or Big Sisters assigned to teams who practice during the week or who have games on days other than Saturdays. The Big Brothers and Big Sisters are invited to participate in these events if their schedule allows.
To get credit for the above mentioned work, initiate an "Unscheduled Shift" in the Deputy App. Be sure to mention in the comments sections what the shift was for (i.e. mid-week practice, unscheduled game, etc.) so the shift can be approved.
Deputy App
Big Brothers and Big Sisters will need to have access to the Deputy App on a smart device to record their time.
The app utilizes GPS to identify your location when you sign in and sign out.

Team Assignment
Big Brothers and Big Sisters who indicate willingness to help with specific teams will be assigned a team.
They will assist the volunteer adult coach in coaching the team.
Team assignments will be listed in League Athletics and should be visible from your account.
As a team member, you can see the team schedule, team roster, and coach(es) for the teams through League Athletics.
If you are unable to help out for a given practice or game, it is your responsibility to let the coach of the team know so they can plan accordingly.
How can I find my team assignment (Recreational Programs Only)?
Login to League Athletics (www.wwpsa.org) using your email address and password.
Navigate to the "My Account" link found in the upper right hand corner of the page.
Scroll down to the name of the Big Brother or Big Sister.
Select the "Calendar" Icon next to their name which will take you to the team schedule. Make note of the assigned team listed at the top of this page.
Using the menus on the left of the page, you can navigate to the Team Roster, Team Schedule, and Team Contacts.
From the Team Roster, you can see who the assigned Big Brother or Big Sisters are. Their position (POS) will be listed as BB/BS, not as a "Player" or "Coach".
Note: Once you know the assigned team, you can navigate directly to the team from the Team dropdown menus.
